Make the internetwork of ICND Chapter 16 (chapter16.png)


Some of the physical interfaces might not be able to be exactly the same.
It's crowded, but turn on Options | Preferences | Port labels always shown

Change the display names and hostnames to match the diagram.

Either end of the serial links can be the DCE clocking end.
Clock rate can be 1000000.

Each router needs two static routes to the "farside" of
its neighbors (i.e. a router doesn't need to know the 
network between its neightbors).  Don't run a routing protocol.

Paste the routing table of R1:

Use the "Generic Server-PT" for the Server hosts.

Switches need to be connected with cross-over cables.
In the cycle of three switches (for redundancy if any one of the links fails),
which port is put into blocking mode by the STP (spanning tree protocol)
to avoid a loop in which frames might cycle forever:______

Assign each switch its Vlan1 IP address, if it has one on the diagram.
Also its default gateway (i.e. E0 interface of R1).
Paste the sections of the output of 'show run' on SW1, SW2, SW3 and SW4 
of the interface connected to the server and Vlan1 and default gateway 
(where applicable):

Paste the tracert from PC12 to Server3:



Configure a password for the vty lines of each router so that they can be telnetted to.
Paste the output of the 'show users' on R1 when logged-on from PC31:


Configure MAC port security on the port of SW1 that connects to Server 1.

Now remove the cable between Server 1 and SW1.  Create a PC and connect
it to the same port on SW1.  Configure the PC to have the same IP as Server 1.
Try to ping over that link.

Reconnect Server 1 to SW1 on the same port as before.
